Lil Wayne Arrested in Idaho

Lil WayneUPDATE: As of late Saturday, Lil Wayne is free on $10,000 bond.

TMZ has learned that rapper Lil Wayne was arrested early Saturday morning in Boise, Id.

Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr., was booked into the Ada County Jail by the Boise City Police around 7:30 AM MT this morning. The Sheriff's Department website indicated he was booked on felony charges of being a fugitive.

Boise cops tell TMZ Wayne was arrested immediately following his concert Friday night at Boise's Qwest Arena. We're told he was picked up on a felony warrant out of Fulton County, Ga., for a felony possession of drugs charge. Authorities from Georgia contacted Idaho police and gave them the heads up about the warrant.

Cops tell us he was very cooperative and was arrested without incident. He is now in protective custody pending an arraignment and extradition hearing, which will take place Monday afternoon.

Wayne was previously nabbed in July on a gun charge in New York, and in 2006 he was busted in Atlanta for drug possession.

Calls to Lil Wayne's publicist were not immediately returned. No other information is yet available.

Personally I wish they would have arrested him before he stepped foot in Idaho. Where was he before that Georgia could not grab him.

25. Personally, I think that Lil Wayne deserves to go to jail. He broke the law and he should pay back any and all debts he owes to society. Just as when "Baby" owed money to the members of Cash money Records and didn't pay them, and was forced to pay what he owed.(Case in point, Cash Money earned 14 mil from the tour they were on and B.G. asked for 2 mil and he would have been cool about the whole thing, and "Baby" gave it to him and called the IRS and told them that he didn't pay taxes on it and he got locked up.) He also doesn't have that great of a track record with guns anyway. He shot himself with Rabbit's .44magnum and was on life support, he shot himself again when he was in a shootout with some people in New orleans, He got his ass whipped by Lil Boosie in Baton Rouge, He didn't write "The Carter" or "The Carter 2" Gillie the Kid did! He claims to be a "Gangsta" but he has never killed anyone,or dealt any drugs as he so often claims,however he has kissed "Baby" in the mouth on 106 & Park (Kinda gay if you ask me!) He claims that he's from Holly Grove, but he never goes there without armed bodyguards and police escorts(Picture that, a gangsta needing police escorts, hmm....) and in all honesty he is a little punk assed bitch who looks and sounds like a chipmunk with a dirty mop on his head! And for anybody thinking I'm just hating, I am a black man, I live in Louisiana, and I used to like Cash Money until I found out just how jacked up Cash Money is. And speaking of that, Lil Wayne is supposed to be the President of Cash money Records, but they ain't got no artists, so who is he in charge of himself? I guess so!
